Smodelator Grindo

The Grindo is a professional sander, i.e., an angle grinder with an extended neck, low-speed, and adjustable speed.

It was designed to use all M14 abrasive and diamond wheels in stone carving, especially in places where access is difficult.

The name "Smodellatore" comes from the Carrara dialect word "smodellare," meaning to remove material from shapeless marble with a certain speed,

giving the sculpture its initial shape, and is therefore the opposite of "modellare."

The Grindo was designed, tested, modified, and manufactured entirely by Tabularasa.

The Grindo is sold in a dedicated wooden case, an additional plastic handle, two spare carbon brushes, and a wrench.

The Grindo is lightweight and easy to handle, yet very sturdy.

The machine was tested by dozens of sculptors and stonemasons before being released for sale.

The Grindo smodelator is a professional angle grinder with electronic speed control and a long, low-profile neck for sanding, shaping,

cutting, and polishing marble in areas that are difficult to reach with an angle grinder.

The neck is 30 cm long and 3 cm thick.

All traditional or diamond abrasive tools with an M14 threaded connection can be used.

It is an excellent machine for sculptors as it allows them to work in difficult conditions, using it as a prosthetic arm.
